The Microplan Group, with its Microplan Italia and Microplan France production units, offers a wide range of standard and custom-designed products to meet customers’ specific requirements.
WHAT WE DO
We design and manufacture standard products, made-to-drawing products and tailor-made solutions for metrology and precision engineering, with a complete range of products designed to meet our Customers’ specific requirements:
• Granite measuring and inspection instruments: we manufacture high-precision instruments for measurement, quality control, and geometric and dimensional inspections for various industrial sectors.
• High-precision granite bases: we design and manufacture custom granite bases according to drawing for machinery, measuring systems and precision instruments.
• Synthetic granite bases (CELITH): we design and manufacture high-performance custom synthetic granite bases for machinery and industrial applications.
• Custom technical ceramic components: we handle the design, manufacture and precision machining of alumina ceramic and silicon carbide components for specific applications requiring maximum accuracy and precision, even under extremely critical operating conditions.
• Turnkey Custom measuring and inspection benches: we manufacture complete custom systems in collaboration with the Customer, for applications where no economically competitive or technically adequate solutions are available on the market.
• Measuring instruments and electronic levels: in our laboratory in Italy, we manufacture Made in Italy electronic measuring instruments and high-precision electronic levels.
Large-size bases in natural and synthetic granite
At our French branch MICROPLAN FRANCE, we manufacture large-size high-precision bases and components, intended in particular for the measuring machine and machine tool sectors. We produce tailor-made solutions with high quality standards, ideal for industrial applications requiring accuracy, precision, stability and reliability.
We manufacture components in natural granite and synthetic granite, up to 10 x 4 metres and up to 50 tonnes in weight, and components in alumina ceramic, up to 3 metres, in assembled configurations up to 10 metres.

Thanks to our experience in machining technical materials for metrology and industry, we are able to offer large-size precision structures for high-performance applications.
Turnkey measuring and inspection benches
At the Customer’s request, we design and manufacture turnkey measuring benches for special components, when the solutions available on the market are not economically advantageous or technically sufficient.
We develop customized measuring systems capable of offering high accuracy, precision, reliable performance and maximum adaptability to the Customer’s production and quality control requirements.
Production of high-precision bases and components in natural and synthetic granite
We specialize in the production of high-precision bases and components in natural granite and synthetic granite, for coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), machine tools (grinding machines, lathes, milling machines, machining centres), for the electronics and semiconductor sectors, for Research and numerous other industrial sectors.
Technical ceramics
The production and precision machining of high-technology ceramic materials represent one of our main specializations.
We machine alumina ceramic (Al2O3), silicon carbide (SiC and SiSiC), glass-ceramics and other advanced materials intended for high-performance applications, particularly in the semiconductor, microelectronics and medical sectors.
Electronic levels and precision electronic measuring instruments
Within our electronics laboratory, we develop and manufacture instruments for geometric and dimensional inspection, with a constant commitment to optimizing accuracy and performance.
Particular importance is given to the production of ultra-high-precision electronic levels, designed to provide reliable results, great robustness and high performance even under the most critical conditions.
